Toronto police are investigating after they say a rescue dog was stolen from the city's east end earlier this month.
In a news release police say Mary, a Jack Russell Terrier, escaped from her leash at home in the Greenwood Avenue and Gerrard Street East area on April 14, around noon.
Mary was last seen in the Pape Avenue and Danforth Avenue area where she was picked up by a woman driving a white Toyota.
Investigators believe the dog was stolen.
