Toronto police say they're setting up a team to investigate the disappearances of two men with ties to the city's LGBTQ community.
Investigators consider suspicious the disappearances of both 44-year-old Selim Esen and 49-year-old Andrew Kinsman.
Both men vanished earlier this year from the outskirts of the Church-and-Wellesley area.
Esen was last seen in mid-April and no one has heard from Kinsman since late June.
Both men were familiar with the neighbourhood and active on dating applications at the time they went missing.
There has been talk among the community that the 2 cases are connected and may be linked to 3 other men who were reported missing between 2010 and 2012.
Police say that's a possibility that detectives are considering but that so far, there is no evidence to confirm a link.
