It seems so long ago that the Toronto Raptors made history by winning their first NBA championship.
Well, the team is making a bit of history again, with a woman joining their coaching staff.
The team's current data anaylst, Brittni Donaldson is being promoted to assistant coach.
The Iowa native and graduate of the University of Northern Iowa (2011 - 2015), where she was a star basketball player, will join head coach Nick Nurse's staff for the upcoming season, taking over the analytics coaching position previously held by Eric Khoury, who'll join the G-League 905 Raptors.
Donaldson first joined the Raptors in 2017 as part of GM Masai Ujiri's data team.
She is now the NBA's 10th female assistant coach.
