Toronto's Medical Officer of Health is asking for the province for help, to push through her ideas on more restrictions in this city.
Dr. Eileen de Villa has sent a letter to her Provincial counterpart, asking to put this city back under a partial lockdown, for at least a month.
She calls them "strong recommendations" to significantly reduce the spread of COVID-19 in the city.
Some of her ideas include halting the indoor dining in bars and restaurants and mandating that people only leave their homes for essential trips.
de Villa says people should only have to leave their homes for things like work, education, exercise and fitness, healthcare appointments and to get groceries.
If someone lives alone, she suggests up to two individuals from a different household, be permitted to provide social support.
She's also calling on all indoor group classes in gyms and indoor sports team activities be cancelled.
