One item on the agenda at the city's Economic Development and Culture Committee meeting Monday will be extending last call at bars around Toronto.
The request has been sent in by the Toronto Music Industry Advisory Council.
Currently the city offers special permission for bars to stay open later for special events like the Toronto International Film Festival or certain sporting events.
Councillor Michael Thompson, chair of the Economic Development and Cuture Committee spoke with CP24 Sunday and said no decisions will be made Monday.
"It is simiply a request for the city to look at this and make determinations as to whether or not this is a good or bad thing." he said.
Staff will look at all the potential impacts this would have on the city including policing costs, noise and transit issues.
The Economic Development and Culture Committee meeting is Monday at 9:30 a.m.
