A man believed to be in his 20s is dead after a shooting in east-end Toronto early Friday.
Shots were fired in the area of Warden Avenue and Danforth Road just before 5 a.m.
Toronto paramedics said they rushed the man to a trauma centre in critical condition with multiple gunshot wounds.
He was pronounced dead a short time later.
Police have not released the victim's name or any suspect information.
By NEWSTALK 1010's count, the man is Toronto's 71st murder victim of 2018. At this time last year, there were around 34 murders.
There have been over 40 shootings in the month of August, over one per day in Toronto.
