Parents at almost 30 Toronto schools are on notice over a labour dispute that has the potential to affect school bus service.
A letter that went home with students says drivers employed by First Student Canada in the company's Ajax division are in a legal strike position as of Tuesday.
That means they could walk off the job with 3 days of warning.
A job action would affect 28 schools in Toronto's east end, including 9 public schools and 28 schools in the Catholic board.
It would also affect an estimated 10,000 public and Catholic school students at 103 schools in Durham Region.
