The City of Toronto has set up a new way to give and help the victims and survivors of the Danforth shooting.
Officials have created a new branch of the Toronto Strong fund set up in April after the Yonge St van attack.
The new fund will ensure that the outpouring of support is collected and distributed in an accountable and transparent manner.
All of the money collected will go to the victims and their families.
After the van attack, the fund raised about $3.5-million.
Staff will also coordinate with the existing community-led fundraising initiatives and GoFundMe accounts to look for ways to collaborate and unite the efforts.
