High-society hijinx has reportedly landed two Toronto sisters in a Nigerian prison.
Jyoti and Kiran Matharoo have been arrested and charged with allegedly attempting to blackmail, extort, and cyberbully a billionaire.
The Matharoos are described online as "courtesans" who "threaten the peace of Nigera's rich" by recording their trysts and then demand big bucks to not post all the dirty details - video and audio - on a sex-scandal website which they have apparently confessed to running.
Looking on Instagram, the sisters, between them have nearly 50-thousand followers, flaunt a spoiled life of luxury that includes yachts, jewels, and over-indulgence.
Offering themselves up as company to their affluent clients has reportedly netted them $700,000 dollars.
Court documents posted online indicate the sisters signed a confession stating they were responsible for the website NaijaGistLive, as well as Twitter and Instagram accounts that were used for "malicious" and "unfounded attacks" on third parties. These online platforms were allegedly used to cyberbully and "humiliate" roughly 274 people, mostly in Africa.
Their next court appearance, in Nigeria, is January 26th.
