Winter weather is on the way to much of southern Ontario including Toronto and the GTA.
A special weather statement from Environment Canada reads, "An Alberta Clipper low pressure area will sail across Southern Ontario tonight into Tuesday. This weather disturbance will bring a general snowfall of 5 to 10 cm with it by Tuesday morning."
Flurries on Tuesday could bring an addition 2 cm.
The city of Toronto is already preparing for the weather.
City officials say trucks are applying brine and salt to the roads in advance of the snow.
Plows are sent onto the highways once 2 cm. of snow has fallen, and onto the main roads after 5 cm.
