Two men are lucky to be alive after a man in a mask opened fire in a mall parking lot in Thornhill.
This all started just before 9 p.m. Sunday, outside Promenade Mall near Bathurst and Centre Streets.
CP24 reports, a tow truck operator and a new employee, no older than 20, planned to meet up with their boss in the parking lot.
As they walked over to the bosses car, the masked man walked up and started shooting.
The boss was shot in the chest and abdomen. The new employee was hit in the leg. Both are expected to recover.
Pictures from the scene show the car, its rear window shot out, with blood smeared on the door.
This could have been worse. The suspect reportedly ran out of bullets and took off.
Police are looking into whether this shooting had anything to do with an ongoing tow truck war that has led to arsons and even murder.
