The Toronto and Region Conservation Authority is reminding you to be careful around waterways today.
With yet another dumping of rain in the GTA, they say water levels are high, rivers are flowing quickly, and banks may be slippery and unstable.
"We want to remind everyone to keep themselves, their children and their pets well away from riverbanks," says Rehana Rajabali, Senior Engineer - Flood Risk and Communications, with the Toronto and Region Conservation Authority.
The TRCA says flooding is a possibility along Toronto's already waterlogged shorelines but it seems the wind is in our favour.
Rajabali says it's the waves that tend to cause flood problems along the lake and with an easterly wind, "we are seeing some high waves but it's actually worse off...for our neighbours to the west of us around Burlington/Hamilton."
