The trucking company involved in Friday's crash that killed 15 members of the Humboldt Broncos has been suspended.
Adesh Deol Trucking Ltd., is based out of Calgary and has only been in operation since the Fall.
"We're commencing an investigation. This is automatic in a serious case like this. The license of the company to operate has been suspended pending the outcome of the investigation," says Alberta's Transportation Minister Brian Mason. "Primarily the investigation is being conducted by the Saskatchewan Department of Transportation and the Saskatchewan RCMP. We don't wish to say anything that could, in any way, interfere with that investigation."
The company has no collisions, convictions, or violations on record. It also passed two inspections in February and March of this year.
The driver has been with the company for about a month. It's unclear how many years experience they have driving a tractor-trailer.
