Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has had a chance to speak directly to Americans about tariffs imposed on Canada by the Trump administration.
He appeared on this week's episode of NBC's ``Meet The Press'' where he also expressed exasperation that one of the reasons given for the tariffs on steel and aluminum is that somehow Canada is a security threat to the U-S.
He noted that Canadian and American soldiers have fought together in the Second World War and Afghanistan.
He says those soldiers would find the notion of being a national security threat insulting.
Trudeau added there are no two countries that are more interdependent.
