True North Seafood Company is recalling their Toppers Smoked Salmon Flakes seasoned with lemon and dill due to possible Listeria contamination.
113-gram packages with the product code 7838 and best before dates up to and including Nov. 17, 2017 are under the recall.
The product is sold in Ontario, New Brunswick and Nova Scotia and possibly nationally.
Health Canada says this recall was triggered by Canadian Food Inspection Agency test results. The CFIA is conducting a food safety investigation, which may lead to the recall of other products.
No illnesses have been reported.
Health Canada's website says food contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes may not look or smell spoiled but can still make you sick. Symptoms can include vomiting, nausea, persistent fever, muscle aches, severe headache and neck stiffness.
