A fatal plane crsah in Oxford County is being investigated by the Transportation Safety Board (TSB) and Ontario Provincial Police.
In a news release from OPP, investigators received a reports of a missing man Saturday night, who was last seen inĀ Blandford-Blenheim Township at around 11 o'clock Saturday morning.
The man was seen flying out of a private airstrip in his small, fixed-wing, single-engine aircraft.
OPP and the Joint Rescue Coordination Centre conducted a search and around 6 a.m. Sunday the aircraft was found just east of an airstrip on Township Road 12 in Blandford-Blenheim Township.
Police confirm the only person in the aircraft was pronounced dead at the scene.
The identity of the victim has not been released pending next-of-kin notification.
The office of the coroner and the OPP are assisting the Transportation Safety Board in its investigation.
