The TTC has a plan to get buses moving more quickly. If you drive, it may mean you have one fewer lane to work with.
A staff report is recommending bus-only lanes on five of Toronto's busiest bus routes.
They include Jane, Dufferin, Steeles West, Finch East and Eglinton East.
A TTC spokesperson tells the Toronto Star these bus lanes would improve reliability and speed of service.
The city will have to find some money in the budget to do it. It would cost $41.8 million.
The plan does not include widening the roads. Instead, they'd take existing traffic lanes and convert them to bus lanes. The city could also get rid of on-street parking to make room.
The TTC board will look over the report at its meeting on Thursday.
