New numbers from the TTC show an increase in crashes involving buses, streetcars, and Wheel-Trans vehicles in 2017.
According to a report in the Toronto Star, there were 4,001 major and minor crashes, amounting to almost 11 each day.
That compares to 3,788 the year before.
TTC spokesperson Stuart Green tells the paper the numbers include everything from the smallest ding to a serious crash.
A relatively small number of these, 180, led to injuries. Four were deadly.
Green also says there are almost 2000 TTC vehicles on the streets each day so crashes are likely to happen.
More than a quarter of the collisions last year were deemed preventable, which means the TTC found its operator at fault.
The vast majority involved buses.
