Some might call this a bit of karma for a couple of criminals.
Toronto Police have arrested and charged a man and a woman with a number of weapons-related offences, after they allegedly forgot a bag with a loaded handgun in a ridesharing vehicle.
The pair reportedly hopped into a ridesharing vehicle near Eglinton and Dufferin just after 11 p.m. Friday night with several bags.
When they exited the vehicle, they apparently forgot one of the bags which it's alleged contained a loaded handgun, ammunition and a quantity of cash.
The driver turned the bag over to police.
19 year-old Kingsley Dowrin of Toronto is charged with ten offenses, including careless transportation of a firearm, possession of a restricted firearm without a license, occupying a motor vehicle with a firearm, possession of a loaded restricted firearm, possession of a firearm with a defaced serial number and two counts of failing to comply with a probation order.
19 year-old Vanessa Cosentino of Toronto is charged with six offenses, including careless transportation of a firearm, possession of a restricted firearm without a license, occupying a motor vehicle with a firearm, possession of a loaded restricted firearm and possession of a firearm with a defaced serial number.
They appeared in court at Old City Hall Saturday morning.
