Four men are facing charges after a disturbing home invasion in Markham.
It was Saturday morning around 2 a.m., when York Regional Police were called to a home on Legacy Drive, near 14th Avenue and Box Grove Bypass.
They say four suspects forced their way into a home, tied up three adults inside, and assaulted one of them.
"The children were present at the time. It's likely that they did see and hear what was going on," said Sergeant Andy Pattenden.
Thankfully, the children weren't physically hurt.
Police say officers managed to contain the area and arrest two of the suspects. The other two were found walking in the Highway 407 and Ninth Line area a short time later.
Later in the day, officers found a handgun under a parked car.
All four are charged with robbery with a firearm.
Police believe this was targeted though it's not clear why.
