The OPP say two people are dead after a crash on the 406 in Niagara Region.
Sgt. Kerry Schmidt says a vehicle was travelling southbound in the northbound lanes near Glendale Avenue when it slammed, head on, into another vehicle.
The vehicle travelling in the correct direction burst into flames. The two people inside didn't make it.
The driver of the wrong-way vehicle is in hospital in stable condition.
Police are still trying to figure out how he ended up on wrong side of the highway.
