Durham police have arrested two men they believe are connected to several recent carjackings in Ajax.
After 4 a.m. Tuesday, officers caught up to two suspects after a robbery in the area of the Ajax Downs Casino.
Police say the men robbed a taxi driver of cash and fled the scene in a car parked nearby.
When they caught up to the suspects, they arrested a 21-year-old man and 24-year-old man, both from Ajax.
Investigators say they have linked the two men to a series of carjackings the past month.
Const. George Tudos has said there was a pattern to their crimes. The suspects seemed to target drivers as they were either arriving at home or leaving the house and getting into or out of their vehicles.
