Toronto Police say two men are under arrest, each charged with multiple offences, following a string of bank robberies throughout the city.
Four of them took place between November 15 and 16, when one of the suspects entered four separate branches with his face uncovered.
Investigators say he waited in line for a teller wearing black gloves and a hooded top pulled over his head.
"When he approached the teller, he handed them a note demanding fairly large sums of money," Constable David Hopkinson told NEWSTALK1010. "He indicated he had a gun and that he would shoot."
He stole money in all four cases and then fled the scene.
Then, on December 3, he entered three separate branches in the city's east end - again, with no face covering.
"He did produce a firearm at one of the robberies, pointing at two people [and] demanding that they provide him with money," Hopkinson added. "He obtained the money and then got away in a stolen vehicle."
"Pointing a firearm is a specific criminal offence, a fairly serious criminal offence. What it shows is that his methodology and what he was doing was escalating."
In that final robbery, a police pursuit ensued and the vehicle's getaway driver and the suspect fled on foot.
However, they were able to catch up with the getaway driver and arrested him at the scene.
Antwoine Murray, 21, is charged with three counts of armed robbery, two counts of possession of stolen property and four other offences.
The suspect in all seven robberies - 19 year old Abdullah Waseem - of Kingston, was arrested on December 13 in a joint effort between Toronto and Kingston Police.
He faces four counts of robbery, three counts of armed robbery and 11 other charges.
