It was a horrific night across the city, and now police are trying to determine whether any of the three shootings that took place are connected.
Police also telling our sister station CP24 that two of the shootings are believed to be random. All of this unfolded in less than two hours.
Kipling and Mount Olive Drive: Around 6:15 p.m. police responded to the area of Kipling and Mount Olive Drive. Two people were shot after reports of multiple gun shots.
Police believe there was a group of males firing shots in the area with no specific target. Police say they also shot into vehicles and into the townhouse complex nearby.
Once officers arrived, they found two people suffering from gunshot wounds who were inside their home when bullets started flying. The man was grazed by a bullet in his back. The woman was injured on her finger. Both were taken to hospital with minor injuries. No suspect information at this point.
Martin Grove and Finch: Just before 6:30 p.m. and a short distance away from the first shooting, one person was shot. Police say a group of males were sitting in a car, shooting randomly at the townhouse complex in this area and into cars as well.
One man was sitting in his car when he was shot in his leg. That victim called police. He suffered non-life-threatening injuries. No suspect information.
Jane and Shoreham: Just before 8:00 p.m., three people were shot. Paramedics took three people to hospital in serious condition.
Multiple shell casings were found at the scene. Police are looking for two suspects: males, Black, the first wearing a white hoodie, and black trackpants with a white stripe. The second wore a grey or black hoodie, a baseball cap and blue jeans.
Toronto Police tell NEWSTALK1010 that they are hoping to provide an update a little later on this morning.
