Toronto Police say all three people hurt in a collision in Scarborough Friday afternoon are expected to be okay.
The accident occurred near Eglinton Avenue East and Danforth Road just before 4 p.m., with a vehicle striking two male pedestrians in their 20's.
"Indications from the people calling in was that this was a serious collision," Const. David Hopkinson told NEWSTALK1010, saying that at the time, it wasn't clear if the vehicle that struck the two pedestrians stayed at the scene.
One of the two men was rushed to hospital with life-threatening injuries.
"Basically one car was going north and the other was turning right," an onlooker told our media partner CP24. "He tried to avoid the people and hit one of them, two of them collapsed on the ground."
Later, Const. Hopkinson confirmed that all the vehicles involved did remain at the scene for the investigation, and had good news about the man who initially had life-threatening injuries.
"[He] has received some treatment for his injuries and it appears it is no longer life-threatening," he said.
The other man and a third person - a woman in her 20's - also had to be treated for non-life threatening injuries.
The intersection was closed for the investigation but has since re-opened.
