Police in Peel Region believe 30-year old Martin Hines of Orangeville is the man who caused a trail of havoc and destruction in the early hours of Friday morning.
He was arrested after allegedly trying to commandeer a TTC bus.
Hines is also believed to have been behind 3 collisions and a car jacking that happened in the moments before he was handcuffed.
The first crash happened in Brampton, near Steeles Ave. and McLauglin Rd. around 1:00am.
Several vehicles were involved.
60-year-old Eddie Chavez Alquinto of Brampton was killed and his wife of 45 years was in the passenger seat and was seriously hurt.
She's in the hospital.
Authorities claim after the collision, Hines carjacked a vehicle and drove away.
Investigators believe its the same vehicle that hit a pedestrian in near the intersection of Kipling Ave. and Steeles Ave. in North York.
Police confirm that the 28-year old later died of his injuries.
It wasn't long after that collision that the same vehicle is believed to have been involved in a crash involving several other vehicles, near Weston Road and Steeles Avenue.
Police say the suspect abandoned his vehicle and tried to steal a TTC bus.
He was arrested at the scene and taken to a trauma centre.
Hines faces multiple charges related to the collision including Dangerous Driving Causing Death, Dangerous Driving Bodily Harm, Fail to Remain Causing Death, Fail to Remain Causing Bodily Harm, Theft and Robbery.
