OPP Sgt. Kerry Schmidt says the 6-year-old boy who was a passenger in a single vehicle crash on the eastbound 403 ramp to Mavis has been pronounced dead in hopsital a day after the collision.
Sgt. Schmidt says the adult male driver and pregnant female are in stable condition and the investigation into the crash is on going.
It happened just before 12:00 p.m. Friday.
The silver-coloured vehicle was travelling in the eastbound lanes when it veered off into the ditch near the Mavis Road off-ramp.
From there, it climbed an embankment before crashing into a concrete pillar holding up a road sign.
