Air Canada has suspended flights to India, temporarily.
The move comes after Pakistan closed their airspace to commercial traffic, as tensions with India escalate.
One flight from Toronto to Delhi was forced to turn around over the Atlantic Ocean, while a second flight from Canada to India was cancelled.
In a statement, Air Canada says they operate with daily flights from Toronto to Delhi and four flights weekly, to Mumbai.
By mid-afternoon on Wednesday, Air Canada announced that some flights may be able to resume.
"We are evaluating the routing options for both Toronto-Delhi and Vancouver-Delhi flights scheduled to operate later tonight."
The different routing would avoid Pakistani airspace completely.
The reason for the cancellation is a battle over the region of Kashmir. Two Indian fighter plane were recently shot down, after they crossed over the boundary in the dispiuted area.
Two pilots were taken prisonner.
It's not yet known when regularly scheduled flights could resume.
