A second shooting in a residential area of Brampton Monday.
Peel Police Const. Irena Yashnick confirmed they received a call just after 8 p.m. Monday night for an incident in the area of Vanderpool Crescent and Almond Street, roughly 15km from the sight of the first shooting in Brampton Monday afternoon, that claimed the life of a male in his 30's on Vodden Court.
"This did occur in the street,there's no suspect information at this time. We're just in the process of canvassing for video and speaking with witnesses."
Peel Paramedics confirmed to CP24 a 37 year old male victim was transported to hospital with serious injuries but was said to be in stable condition.
Const Yashnick could not confirm if the shooting was targeted or a driveby. As for any connection to the first shooting Monday afternoon, Yashnick added it was unlikely they were connected.
"There's nothing at this time to indicate tha these two are related, but it is fairly early in the investigation."
