Canada's Wonderland opened for the season on April 30.
Park officials say there is live entertainment and discounts on food and arcade games to celebrate the occasion.
There are a number of new attractions this year.
Muskoka Plunge is a group of 18 metre-tall waterslides that lets riders achieve speeds of up to 40 kilometres per hour.
Soaring Timbers carries 38 riders spiraling through the sky on two massive rotating gondolas that swing riders through sweeping arcs while rotating 360 degrees.
According to the park, it's the first of its kind in North America.
But it won't be in operation for opening day.
“Due to transportation delays from the ride manufacturer, Soaring Timbers will not be open on Opening Day,” reads a message posted on the park’s website.
It is not known when Soaring Timbers will be operational.
The gates opened to the public at 10 a.m.
