Along with the heavy rain, the storm brought along strong wind gusts.
There were pockets of power outages reported in Toronto and parts of central and southern ontario, but nothing widespread.
At one time, the storm was moving at 75km/h, so you can understand how quickly it passed through.
Toronto Hydro says about 16,500 homes and businesses were without power in the wake of the storm.
Toronto crews hope to have 90 percent of customers back up and running overnight.
