Eight people are seriously injured, including six children in a crash involving a van and a coach bus full of teenagers in Stayner, near Collingwood.
OPP Sergeant Peter Leon says the van was travelling along Highway 26 when it crossed the centre line and collided with the bus.
The injured in the van include two 4-year-olds, one 8-year-old, one 10-year-old, one 15-year-old and two adults, who are all being treated for serious injuries in hospital. Another child - a 10-year-old - is in critical condition.
Local fire officials say that the 41 teenagers, three adult chaperones and the driver of the bus suffered minor injuries and did not need to go to hospital.
Clearview fire chief Colin Shewell says the teens were on their way back to the Hamilton area after a trip to Blue Mountain.
The teenagers were taken to the Stayner Arena to stay warm. Arena manager Mike Young tells NEWSTALK 1010 that they were served hot dogs, popcorn and chips until another bus arrived around the dinner hour to take them home.
