Ontario's New Democrats are vowing to allow back-to-work legislation that would put an end to a month-long college strike pass on Sunday.
Some 500,000 students have been out of class since the strike by 12,000 college professors, instructors, counsellors, and librarians, began October 15. It is now the longest strike in Ontario college history.
On Thursday the NDP refused to grant unanimous consent to the government bill, a move that would have expedited its passage and perhaps returned students to class sooner.
Leader Andrea Horwath told Moore in the Morning Friday her party will not facilitate the Liberals' 'Conservative-style, anti-labour' legislation.
