Some people flying Air Canada on Tuesday, had a frustrating time, when a computer glitch affected the check-in process for flights.
And it affected passengers right across the counrty.
Air Canada released the following statement:
Air Canada is experiencing a computer issue that is affecting airport, online and mobile check-in, and some flights may be delayed as a result. We apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate our customers’ patience as we work to resolve this issue and get everyone on their way as quickly as possible
The problem first surfaced at 11 o'clock on Tuesday morning and immediately affected fights at airports Canada-wide.
The issue was fixed just before 3pm and Air Canada says:
The IT system hardware problem affecting check-in earlier this afternoon has been resolved. Some flights were delayed due to checking in manually. However, we expect to get everyone to their destinations with minimal delay as we are adding larger aircraft where possible and were able to limit cancellations to a small handful of flights. We apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate our customers’ patience. Customers should check aircanada.com for the status of their flight.
