What police are calling a suspicious explosion has taken down the exterior cinderblock wall of a cafe and social club in Vaughan.
It happened at Caffe Corretto on Winges Rd near Weston Rd and Hwy 7 at about 5:30 a.m. Thursday.
Cinderblocks, bricks, insulation, boards and other debris rained down on a dark-coloured sedan in the parking lot. The side of the cafe is now open to the air like a disaster zone dollhouse.

A small fire in the cafe's kitchen was quickly extinguished.
York Regional Police constable Andy Pattenden tells NEWSTALK 1010 a 33-year-old man was arrested nearby for mischief. That same man suffered what Pattenden will only describe as non life-threatening injuries.
At least one illegal video gambling machine was seized from Caffe Corretto in a series of police raids on GTA social clubs. What appear to be four gambling machines were visbile inside the cafe after the explosion on Thursday.
