We knew it was coming, but it turned into more of a wind event, rather than a thunderstorm event.
High winds tore through much of Ontario on Friday, with wind gusts peaking at 82km/h at Pearson on Friday afternoon.
Power was knocked out to more than 2 thousand people in downtown Toronto, because of the conditions.
The high temperature peaked at more than 30 C, with the humidity, it felt closer to 40 C, but that was expected to change in the overnight hours.
"We're looking at a low of 8." CTV's Tom Brown told NEWSTALK1010.
Some trees and branches had been knocked down in pockets of the city.
Brown says the colder temperatures are expected to stick around through the weekend.
