A 23-year-old man has been charged with first-degree murder in what police are describing as a quadruple homicide.
York Regional Police Const. Andy Pattenden says Menhaz Zaman is facing four counts of first-degree murder after four bodies were found in a home in Markham, Ont.
While police will not confirm any relationship between Zaman's and his alleged victims, they are reportedly his mother, father, grandmother and sister.

Zaman was taken into custody on Sunday afternoon after police were called to the home in response to reports of multiple injuries inside.
Pattenden says Zaman answered the door when officers arrived but police did not say who phoned in the tip.
Police will not comment on a report that Zaman confessed to the killings in a chat for online video game and included photos of the murder scene.
Neighbours speaking to NEWSTALK 1010's sister station CTV Toronto describe the household as "volatile"
Zaman returns to court on Friday.
