"Certainly, there's a lot of winter left."
Forecaster Gerald Cheng says it's not going to be horrible but there is a freezing warning in effect for Toronto and surrounding areas.
However, the freezing rain is only expected to start falling on Wednesday evening.
Snow and ice pellets will likely fall through the afternoon before the precipitation changes to freezing rain.
That freezing rain will stick around for about three hours, before changing to rain as the temperature warms up.
The good news is, that the ice should be melted in time for the Thursday morning commute.
Looking ahead, there's another storm system brewing, that could bring more rain, overnight on Saturday into Sunday.
