Several hundred people are marching through the streets of Toronto this hour, calling for the "defunding of police".
The rally and march getting underway around 5 p.m. at Christie Pits Park.
The group is making its way eastbound along Bloor, before making stops at major intersections along the way.
It's the second such protest today, organized by a collective of anti-racism groups, including "Not Another Black Life".
The first rally and march started at Downsview Park earlier today, organized by the same group. About a hundred people turned out for that protest.
Demonstrators want to see a major cut to the police budget, with the funds reallocated to much-needed community supports, including education, affordable housing and mental health initiatives.
Expect street closures and major traffic disruptions in Toronto's downtown core in the early evening, as hundreds of protesters head towards the downtown core.
Similar protests are taking place across Canada, including in Ottawa and Montreal.
