Four homicides in the first twelve days of 2019 - that's what Toronto Police are now dealing with after a shooting in Scarborough Friday night that left one man dead.
At a press conference Saturday morning, investigators confirmed the shooting and updated some details about Toronto's latest homicide.
The shooting occurred in the upper floors of an apartment building at 100 Dundalk Drive, in the Kennedy Road and 401 area.
Police confirm they intially received a call for gunshots at 11:50 p.m. Friday night.
When they responded, they found the victim in distress with multiple gunshot wounds. attempted to administer CPR and first aid, but the man was later pronounced dead.
The victim has now been identified as 36-year-old Lingathasan Suntharamoorthy of Toronto.
Detective Rob North confirmed investigators are looking for multiple suspects in relation to the shooting.
"I can tell you we are looking for three people, we believe to be males, ranging anywhere in age between 17 and 25."
However, as of Saturday evening, Const. David Hopkinson said there was no update on the suspects.
Police are hoping anyone with information or dash cam video from the area will step forward.
An autopsy on Suntharamoorthy has been scheduled for Monday.
