Toronto Police say a man found with a gunshot wound at the rear of North York Sheridan Mall has died.
Police say they got the call to the area of Jane Street and Wilson Avenue around 7:45 p.m. Friday.
Police say 32-year-old John Trevor Paul of Toronto was in the parking lot area with a group of friends when a vehicle approached them.
Detective Chris Ruhl tells our sister station CP24 three suspects approached the victim, while one person stayed in the car. Police say there was an altercation and that's when the shooting happened. The victim suffered one gunshot to the chest. He was rushed to hospital with life-threatening injuries, and was later pronounced dead.
No suspect description has been released.
This is the second shooting at this mall in less than a month.
On August 31st, Jovane Clarke was chased from the parking lot into the mall and gunned down in full view of terrified shoppers.
