A man in his 30's suffered two broken legs when he was hit by a car that slammed into a restaurant in North York's Winston Park area Saturday afternoon.
Police were called to the Wilson Avenue and Ancaster Road area just after 4 p.m. for reports of a man hit by a vehicle and pushed into a building, possibly being pinned.
Police said he got away from the vehicle before emergency crews arrived.
Police said two men were outside the restaurant on Wilson when a car accelerated into them, struck them and continued into the restaurant.
Paramedics said they located the man and transported him to Sunnybrook Hospital in serious condition. He has fractures in both legs.
The driver and passenger in the vehicle remained at the scene and were not injured.
The investigation continues.
