Toronto media personality Mike Bullard is facing a total of five charges including criminal harassment and obstruction of justice. His case will be before a judge on Wednesday morning.
His lawyer, Arthur Stern says the focus now is on Bullard getting counselling and "getting his life together".
When it comes to that court appearance, Stern say neither he nor Bullard would likely be appearing.
Court documents, obtained by CTV news, show Bullard faces charges with the victim being identified as CITY TV reporter Cynthia Mulligan.
Bullard says it all started with what he called a bad breakup.
Scott Henderson, Vice President of Communications for NEWSTALK 1010's parent company Bell Media shared the following statement:
"I can confirm Mike departed 1010 on October 5.
Mike's show had been part of the Newstalk 1010 lineup since 2010, when the station was owned by Astral Media. Bell Media acquired Astral and its media properties including Newstalk 1010 in July 2014.
Jim Richards has taken over the hour and the Jim Richards Show now runs 12-4 p.m."
Rogers is the parent company of CITY TV and when reached for comment, they released the following statement.
"At Rogers we have zero tolerance for harassment. We are aware that a situation is before the courts and, while we won’t comment further on this matter, we are hopeful this will bring about a quick resolution."
