York Regional Police say two little boys and their grandfather, who were the subject of an Amber Alert, have been found safe.
The three were found early this morning, in the grandfather's van, on Lake Shore Road near Royal York in Toronto.
Police say they were spotted by a Toronto Police officer who recognized the van from the alert.
Three three had been missing for more than 15 hours.
The grandfather had dropped off his wife, the boys grandmother, at an appointment at 581 Davis Drive (west of Leslie Street) in Newmarket around 1:45 p.m. yesterday.
Police say was caring for the boys but did not return home as expected. Officers told NEWSTALK 1010 Wednesday night, "He's lawfully in possession of his grandchildren. He is a loving grandfather."
Police believed the grandfather had gotten lost.
