The New Year's Eve party on Parliament Hill in Ottawa has been modified because of the cold temperatures expected.
Officials say that the musical entertainers and the evening DJs have been cancelled.
However, other events will go on as planned.
The pyrotechnics and laser show will light up the sky at midnight.
Public skating will still be available with extended hours.
And the presentation of Nimidiwin at the Canadian Museum of History will continue.
Officials are advising those celebrating to dress warmly as the temperature is expected to drop to -28 Celcius.
