One person is dead and two others injured in a shooting that happened near a school in Etobicoke.
Police say they got a call for the sound of gunshots in the Dixon Road and Islington Avenue area around 11:45 p.m. Sunday.
Officers arrived to the parking lot near Kingsview Village Junior School to find a male with gunshot wounds. He was rushed to hospital, but later died from his injuries.
Detective Steve Matthews says during a search of the area by officers two men were found with gunshot wounds. They were taken to hospital with serious, but non-life threatening injuries.
Detective Matthews says they are looking for one suspect described as a black male in his 20s, 5'7" with a slim build. He was wearing all black and last seen running north on York Road and getting into a smaller light coloured vehicle.
Police are not releasing the name of the deceased until they have notified his next of kin.
