A male victim is dead and another is being treated for serious but non-life threatening injuries following a daylight shooting in Rexdale Sunday afternoon.
Toronto Police received numerous calls about gunshots and a victim lying on the ground near John Garland Blvd. and Kendleton Drive just before 2 p.m.
When officers arrived, they found one of the victims without vital signs.
He was rushed to a trauma centre where he died of his injuries.
There's no word on the ages of either victim.
Our media partner CTV News reports a witness stay at the scene after they tried to help the victims.
Police say the suspects can be considered armed and dangerous and a 'vehicle of interest' was spotted fleeing the scene, but there's no description of the suspects or the vehicle at this point.
Meantime, investigators say there's no threat to area residents, but they are asking for anyone who has home surveillance video of the incident to come forward.
It's not known if this was a targeted shooting.
This marks Toronto's 10th homicide of 2019.
