All lanes have now reopened after an early morning collision on the westbound lanes of Highway 403 in Mississauga that claimed one life and injured 6 others.
Five of the injured were taken to hospital.
OPP confirm they received calls about the accident ,which occurred on the WB lanes at Winston Churchill Blvd, just before 6:15 a.m.
Reports indicate the collision occurred as a car hit another two that were already stopped, one of which had slammed into a guard rail.
One of those two vehicles was set to be towed away when the 3rd car slammed into it.
A witness told our media partner CP24 he saw the car approaching the original accident scene at a high rate of speed.
"Truck showed up to help him, that car showed up to help him, the guy, that Mercedez just came I guess flying, lost control, boom."
Peel Regional Paramedics confirmed that the victim had been pronounced dead on scene.
