An Ontario cabinet minister has responded to the owner of the Ottawa Senators telling the Ottawa Sun that he was verbally attacked at last week's Rolling Stones concert at Burl's Creek.
Eugene Melnyk said Minister of Sport, Culture and Tourism Lisa MacLeod called him an "f***ing loser," a "f***ing piece of s***" and asked him "do you know who I am?"
MacLeod has responded on Twitter saying she gave "some feedback at the Rolling Stones concert and I apologized to him for being so blunt."
"I have serious concerns about the state of our beloved Ottawa Senators! We need to get our team back on the road to winning the cup!" she wrote.
Let me set the record straight, I gave @MelnykEugene some feedback at the Rolling Stones concert and I apologized to him for being so blunt. I have serious concerns about the state of our beloved Ottawa Senators! We need to get our team back on the road to winning the cup!

MacLeod appeared on stage earlier in the day to welcome the crowd in her capacity as minister, but Melnyk said the confrontation with the Ottawa-area MPP didn't happen until hours later, with the Rolling Stones a few songs into their set.
Melnyk tells the Sun he was surrounded by people from the Ottawa area when he saw someone trying to "bust through" the crowd and it turned out to be MacLeod.
He told the paper he was so bothered by the exchange that he wrote to Premier Doug Ford on Senators letterhead, warning him of a "loose cannon" and that he "better take care of this."
When asked for a comment, the premier's office simply referred to MacLeod's tweet.
