Toronto police are investigating after a pedestrian was struck in the city's west end.
It happened around 6:20 p.m. Monday in the intersection of Islington Avenue and Cordova Avenue.
Media Relations Officer David Hopkinson tells Newstalk 1010 when officers arrived on the scene the man seemed awake, but he was unresponsive.
The man was taken to hospital in serious condition.
Islington Avenue was closed from Dundas Street to Bloor Street West for 3 hours.
